 1. MBB CONVENTION SEPTEMBER 10-12: LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER  

We invite you to the 7th Annual MBB Convention, which will be held the weekend of September 10-12, 2010. JFM will be facilitating the event. Registrations for the event must be received at the JFM office by Thursday, September 9 th. The Convention theme this year is “Bringing Christ to the World Around Us.” We have arranged a great schedule of workshops, MBB testimonies, ethnic worship and speakers. For the full schedule, visit: http://jesusformuslims.org/events.htm

2.    OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

We thank God for a number of opportunities to share the Gospel with Muslims in Metro New York. If you are interested in participating in future outreaches, please contact us.

URBAN IMPACT also announces an Internship Program for those interested in teaching ESL to immigrants. For more information, contact Larry at 347-323-2261.

NOVI PUT is also looking for English speakers who would like to teach English to Central Asian immigrants in Brooklyn. Please contact us if you are interested.


 3. MUSLIM DAY PARADE OUTREACH, SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 26th 

JFM Network is organizing an outreach to our Muslim friends and neighbors at the Annual Muslim Day Parade in Manhattan on Sunday, September 26 th from 12:30 to 4:00 pm. Our ministry will be non-political in nature, using the opportunity to befriend local Muslims and share the Christian faith with them. We will be distributing Christian literature and media. If you are interested in participating, please contact us and you will be given further details.


4. PASTORS’ ROUNDTABLE IN N.J. SET FOR OCTOBER 5th

Local pastors and Christian leaders are invited to attend a Pastors’ Roundtable meeting on Tuesday, October 5 th. The meeting will begin at 10 am. The topic will be “The Return to Missions.” We will discuss ways to reach our local Muslim community with the Gospel. The location is Abundant Grace Community Church, 70 Home Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 07070 (www.iwantgrace.com). Rev. Steven Masood and Rev. Fred Farrokh will be presenting during the meeting.

6.     ETHNIC MINISTRY MEETING SCHEDULE  

JFM English Language Fellowship will meet Sunday, September 26th at Annex 2, First Baptist Church, 142-10 Sanford Ave, Flushing NY, 11355. Please bring a dish to pass for the fellowship meal. All are welcome to attend.

JFM is coordinating Arabic meetings on a regular basis. Please contact us for more information.

The Afghan-Iranian fellowship services are held the first and third Sundays of each month, from 2-5 pm.  Services will take place at Calvary Temple, 1111 Preakness Avenue, Wayne, NJ 07470.  All are welcome to attend and bring their Farsi or Dari speaking friends.  English translation is available.  Please contact us for more details. 

Turkish Church meets Sundays, 1:30 PM at Grace Church, 45 Hazel St., Clifton 07011. The service is in Turkish. Please contact us for more information.
